This is the second group of titles to be added for the month of February, Today, Mass Effect Legendary Edition (EA Play) arrives on the cloud. As you know, this edition comes with the single-player base content and over 40 DLC from the trilogy: Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3. The content also includes promo weapons, armors, and packs. Next up on February 17 is Lawn Mowing Simulator for Xbox One....

As part of the celebrations, Ubisoft recently updated Assassin’s Creed Origins with 60 fps support on both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Knight became attached to the Uncharted film after Dan Tractenberg, who replaced diretor Shawn Levy, left the project in August 2019. Mark Wahlberg is set to play Sully in the film, and Spider-Man: Homecoming’s Tom Holland will star as a young Nathan Drake. According to Deadline’s report on Knight’s departure, Walberg and Holland are still attached; however, Holland’s packed schedule has pushed the film’s production back. It was set to start production early this year....

The company announced in a blog post for Artifact it will be adding a single-player campaign to the card-game. Valve said the campaign will teach new players the game and continue the story which started with A Call To Arms. The campaign will also tye into the progressions system, as Valve said it wants players to feel rewarded whether they play it in competitive or single-player. Ultimately, Valve has plans to ship more than double the amount of Steam Decks in Q3 than they did in Q2. So, if you’re awaiting your reservation email, it might not take too much longer. Q3 reservation emails are set to arrive as early as June 30. Announce via the Steam Deck Twitter account, Valve shared “Some great news on the production front. We just sent the last batch of Q2 emails, and we’ll start sending Q3 reservation emails on the 30th....

Ubisoft live producer Lathieeshe Thillainathan took to the social media site to answer players’ questions about the upcoming title, and revealed how the title will run on next-gen hardware. Thillainathan confirmed that the game will run at 4K, 30fps on Xbox Series X and PS5, and will also have options players can enable to support ray-tracing. I was ready to make Kirby’s Dream Buffet one of my games of choice at gatherings, placing it on the same pedestal as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. However, when I actually got my hands on the game, I was left disappointed. The co-op features that I anticipated were missing. Kirby’s Dream Land felt limited, only allowing for two-player local co-op. Online, I could play with three more friends, but they would then need to buy the game – as well as have their own Switch device to hand....

The developer presentation primarily focused on how Xbox can help developers with optimising graphics, and reducing latency when streaming their games via Xbox Cloud Gaming. However, Morgan Brown did take the time to note that KBM support will arrive on the cloud, and that developers should be working to implement the controls in their games. While Xbox consoles have supported keyboard and mouse for a while now, we are still yet to see the same support added to Xbox Cloud Gaming....

“Today, we’re bringing 10 more titles to Game Pass, for a total of 30 Bethesda games,” said Bethesda’s SVP of global marketing and communications Pete Hines. “That includes several id Software games, like the award-winning Doom Eternal.” Doom Eternal is noteworthy because, alongside its arrival on the service, Bethesda is also pushing out its new next-gen upgrade. This means that the Xbox Series X version of the latest id Software title will get a 60fps mode with ray-tracing, a 4K mode, and a performance mode that lets the game run at a staggering 120fps....

Auto HDR is one of the most impressive innovations Microsoft debuted with Xbox Series X/S consoles. In simple terms, the AI-driven feature allows the console to map HDR onto an SDR image. In other words, it approximates what HDR does with SDR games. It may not quite deliver the same quality as native HDR, but it elevates the image several steps above standard SDR, which is perfect when playing older games developed before HDR was a thing, on modern HDR-capable TVs....
