Update: 2K Games has today issued a statement addressing the negative press NBA 2K21 has been receiving over the past few days as more and more players run into the game’s unskippable ads, which play before episodes of the in-game 2KTV episodes. According to the publisher, the way ads were implemented was the problem, not the ads themselves. Nevertheless, 2K Games vowed to fix the issue with future 2KTV episodes....

It’s unlikely that this would apply to last-gen consoles given how they work, meaning players would need a PS5 or an Xbox Series X/S to really benefit from it. Still, given how the following two entries in the series both can run at 60 FPS and Origins represents the new beginning point for the series, it’s only appropriate that Origins achieves technical parity. That way, players who want to get into the series don’t have to prepare for a technical downgrade....

The Metroid series did have some 3D entries on the GameCube and Wii, but Nintendo did skip a generation in the transition from the SNES to the N64. But ultimately one never actually released on the N64, so one fan and indie dev has decided to make their own take on what a Metroid might be like on the classic console. Luto Akino is an indie game developer from Mexico, working on a variety of projects currently, but they also recently shared some gameplay of Metroid 64, the absolutely not Nintendo developed fan game....

Those who download Apple Music will be able to freely play music in the background of the games they’re playing, as well as music video playback that’ll allow your favourite music video to continue playing in the background while you jump into a quick game. If you have a tamed water creature, you can swim through the river that passes through the region and mine the black oil rocks on the riverbed. Back 4 Blood has been delayed to October 12. The game was originally slated to release on June 22. According to Turtle Rock Studios, the team needs more time to make it the best it can possibly be upon release. To that end, an open beta will be held this summer. A closed alpha kicked off back in December. And what I was in for, it turns out, is an FPS that controls superbly on console. I’m playing on Xbox Series X, with a standard Xbox Series controller, and I’m taking down the zombies (the game calls them Ridden, before someone jumps in to correct me) faster than Scrooge took down his Christmas decorations.
