Nintendo has published the top 15 best-selling games on the Switch eShop in Europe for February. The list only covers digital sales made directly on the eShop. The February top 15, surprisingly, doesn’t feature the same volume of first-party Nintendo games as we’re used to. Instead, the best-selling game in February was Unravel 2, followed by Doom 3, and Super Mario Odyssey. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Super Mario Maker 2 are two other existing Nintendo games that landed on the list....

Aliens: Fireteam Elite, the co-op shooter from Cold Iron, recently set its sights on a late August release date. Today, the developer clarified one detail that’s undoubtedly going to disappoint many. Aliens: Fireteam Elite does not support cross-platform play. Cold Iron confirmed this to Gamespot, adding that cross-generation play will be supported, but only within the same console family. In other words, PS4 players will be able to play with PS5 friends, and the same is true between Xbox platforms, but those parties won’t extend to PC or rival console platforms....

Though Sony has a lot of films based on video games in the works, God Of War isn’t something the company is bringing to the big screen any time soon. Big PlayStation franchises, such as Twisted Metal and Ghost of Tsushima, are making their way off consoles and into other media, but for now, Cory Barlog’s recently-rebooted take on God of War isn’t set to make the leap itself according to an interview with the New York Times....

Overnight, Codemasters announced F1 2021, this year’s version of its long-running, official Formula 1 racing game. The game is due July 16 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The announcement is fairly exciting. For one, this is Codemasters’ first game under EA Sports, having recently finalised a $1.2 billion acquisition deal. The few F1 2021 features revealed so far are also interesting. This year’s game introduces two-player co-op for career mode....

Both games will see a 60fps upgrade on the consoles, while Edith Finch will also benefit from 4K on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The Outer Wilds upgrade will be made available on September 15, and it’s a free download if you already own the game. For What Remains of Edith Finch owners, the upgrade is now available for free on Xbox Series X/S and on PS5 - unless you own the PlayStation Plus version, as noticed by Eurogamer....

The Outriders launch has been a serious of problems. From server outages that lasted for two days, to bugs and constant crashes, to cross-play not working as advertised. It’s safe to say things could have gone smoother. But one particular problem that first reared its ugly head in the demo, has now returned, only its effects are exponentially more disastrous now. That being the inventory wipe bug, which is as dire as it sounds: taking away all of the player’s gear and weapons when it occurs and leaving them naked....

Publisher MyTona and developer Fntastic have finally shown off some proper gameplay for the upcoming survival game, which is billed as being an open-world survival MMO set for launch on PC via Steam during Q2, 2021. Rather than the city we saw in the game’s first trailer, the gameplay trailer takes us out into the countryside. The tone is set by a mournful radio broadcast interrupted by gunshots and people fighting in the background before we’re eventually shown two players exploring a stream, an abandoned gas station, and fending off the baying undead....

The next in-game event, Halloween Terror 2020, will be hitting Ovewatch’s live servers on October 13 and – as ever – it will introduce players to new skins, sprays, and player icons. A short teaser has shown off new cosmetics for over on the Overwatch Twitter. D.Va, Sombra, Sigma, Brigitte, and Echo are all in line for new cosmetics. As ever we can expect more characters to get new skins, too – and they will likely be announced over the coming days....

For long-suffering Overwatch damage players, a new system is being introduced to help cut down the massive queue times. Despite hiccups, Role Queue has largely been positive for the game. While hardly a perfect system, it ensures that teams keep a general shape and the overall match quality improves. No more are the days when six DPS players found themselves on a team. However, the system has massively inflated queue times, at least for damage players....

It looks like Pokemon Diamond and Pearl might be remade for the Nintendo Switch. That’s according to fan site Centro Pokemon, which reports that updated versions of the two titles are slated to release this year. Apparently, the games are set to be announced in February to coincide with the Pokemon series’ 25th anniversary. It’s also been discovered that the web address diamondpearl.pokemon has been enabled. Visiting this site returns a 403 error, which means that site access is currently blocked....

Transformers: Heavy Metal, to give it the official title, looks like it’ll be set up similarly to other games in Niantic’s ever-expanding roster (such as Harry Potter Wizards Unite), with players encouraged to go out into the real world and use AR to deepen their connection with the game. Pokemon featured in Community Day events throughout 2021 will hatch from Eggs and appear in raids and Timed Research. December Community will run from 2-5pm local time on both days and will feature the following bonuses: 2× XP, Candy, and Stardust for catching; 1/2 Hatch Distance; 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy; Lure Modules will last for three hours; Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours; one additional Special Trade can be made, and Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust....

After the recent release of the giant Rock and Poison type jellyfish, Nihilego, the three new Ultra Beasts will be available to attending trainers who complete their exclusive Special Research quests.
