It’s really quite simple, so listen up and please don’t ask again: Each week three of us must present our choice for the best game ever that fits the title of the show (this week it must be a game that we reckon is great but came into our possession through odd means)....
There are so many different permutations involved in the ending of The Traitor, that it took me about as long to play through them all as a significant chunk of the rest of the game. Although other events from throughout the story come into play, you’re essentially choosing how you want your journey to finish. So as well as guiding you through the meat of the quest, we’ll try to help you decide on Wasteland 3’s best ending too....
We don’t know much about the trailer itself, in terms of content and length, but we expect it to show us a polished level from the PC and new console exclusive horror game. The most striking thing about the trailer? It looks ridiculous; you wouldn’t believe it was captured in-engine if the developer Ninja Theory hadn’t assured you it was. In keeping with the previous game, we see an ancient world inhabited by what could be mythical creatures or figments of poor Senua’s imgaination as she roams the wilds with her kinsmen. This will be a standard presentation which Nintendo says will feature both first and third-party news. The main focus tonight will be titles releasing on Switch this winter. You will be able to tune in at 3pm PT, 6pm ET, 11pm UK. As far as what we expect out of the stream, we’re likely to hear more about Metroid Dread, maybe something on Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, then there’s Mario Party Superstars - all coming to Switch between now and November 19....

As spotted by VGC, it appears System Shock 3 has lost its director, design director and lead programmer and QA lead to name a few, and all over the last five months. Another developer anonymously told VGC that the team is “no longer employed” by the developer. In all over two dozen OtherSide Entertainment staff working on System Shock 3 have updated their LinkedIn profiles to indicate they no longer work at the company - and this worryingly could be the tip of a much larger iceberg....
There’s a lot of anger about this decision, and justifiably so. But this is the digital future, and the gradual march of progress. It’s scary, but it is the future. We can’t go on producing all this plastic for the sake of our hobby, either. The eventual future is probably all-digital, and I accept that. But our digital archives need to get better to help facilitate that. When Google Stadia was announced, I said that streaming could be the future of games but gave me grave worries for game preservation....
This Sunday, June 12, Xbox and Bethesda’s showcase will be likely showing off some big games we’ve already seen, as well as reveal some brand new ones. And now, as revealed on the Xbox blog, another 90 minute long event on June 14 will have even more trailers, as well as more in depth looks at some of the new announcements. “Stay tuned for the Xbox Games Showcase Extended on June 14 at 10am PT where we will share new trailers, take deeper looks at the news from the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase and speak with some of your favorite game creators,” reads the post....

The partnership was revealed during tonight’s (June 12) Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. Hideo Kojima dialled in remotely to speak about the project, stating that it’s a game that he’s been wanting to make for a ‘very long time.’ Not much else was revealed about the upcoming project, except that it will leverage Xbox’s cloud technology. We’ll have to wait and see what the project ends up being So far we know it will be ‘unique,’ and ’like no-one has experienced before....
Microsoft, of course, dropped arguably the biggest bomb at any Game Awards when it announced Xbox Series X as its next-gen console, and showed off the design for the first time. This year, Xbox is bringing a couple of announcements, but you shouldn’t go crazy with speculation. Xbox marketing boss, Aaron Greenberg, took to Twitter to confirm that yes, there will be Xbox reveals tonight at The Game Awards, just maybe not at the level of announcing a next-gen console....
In a podcast released today from Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb (and transcribed by The Verge), Director of Xbox program management Jason Ronald describes a new spatial audio feature referred to as audio ray tracing - develop to help build a better sense of immersion in Xbox Series X games. “With the introduction of hardware accelerated ray tracing with the Xbox series X, we’re actually able to enable a whole new set of scenarios, whether that’s more realistic lighting, better reflections, we can even use it for things like spatial audio and have ray traced audio,” explains Ronald....

The VMComputers mod is well-known in the Minecraft community for its implementation of in-game computers that actually work. A Reddit post from last month broke down how the mod works, and explained the process of ordering computer parts from space. Since then, one player took to Reddit in order to share the fact that they’d managed to run Doom in Minecraft. So basically, they built a computer inside a game on their real computer, and managed to play a different game using the virtual computer constructed in the game they’re playing a game within....
Update 1.28 was made available to download for players in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare on PS4 earlier today (October 12). Though you can get the massive patches downloaded onto your console, you cannot actually install it until Wednesday, October 14. The game file is set to a timer that will allow you to apply the new patch to your game at 2am ET and 7am BST (that’s Tuesday at 11pm PT)....
