The leaks for Warzone, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s rumoured battle royale mode continue. After the mode’s official name, full map, and even promo art leaked earlier this week, players have now dug up even more details. With a bit of luck, some managed to glitch into the Classified tile in the game’s menu, revealing some of Warzone’s secrets. Others have taken to data-mining and trying to find out more in different ways....

The PS5 has officially launched in some parts of the world, with the rest joining in on the fun this week. But amidst all the pre-order chaos, limited stock and delivery delays, many won’t actually get a PS5 for weeks, if not months. But you don’t have to worry, because the indie development community has produced PS5 Simulator, a free game that, well, lets you simulate the experience of receiving a brand-new console in the mail....

Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red decided to cheer up everyone in the world right now by releasing a fantastic new wallpaper for the game. The new shot features the default male protagonist, evading capture by hiding in a train carriage. It doesn’t look like things are going well for him, though, because the authorities are seemingly about to crack the door. This sadly isn’t representative of in-game visuals, but it’s great-looking nonetheless....

The Ascent, the sci-fi, top-down action RPG you may remember from its debut in an Xbox showcase a year ago, officially has a release date. The game is coming to PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on July 29. As previously revealed, The Ascent will also be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one, but you can otherwise pay $30/£25 for it on Steam or the Microsoft Store....

Called Bioware: Stories and Secrets from 25 Years of Game Development, the book shows off concept art for the next Mass Effect game, which Bioware is currently working on. The images were posted to Tumblr by Felassan (thanks, Eurogamer) and are noted as being “a look at the next Mass Effect.” While the images aren’t of the best quality, you still get a decent look at the concept art. Along with concept art, the book contains “candid stories” from developers past and present....

The 813m riyals ($223 million) investment in SNK has come from one of the subsidiaries of the Mohammed bin Salman Charitable Foundation, Misk, which now owns roughly 33.3% of SNK’s total shares. The resulting investment places the company value at about $669 million. In a press release, Misk outlined that it intends to acquire more of the company soon, too, noting that the current deal stipulates the Saudi Arabian firm will buy another 17....

The state of Cyberpunk 2077 on base consoles - PS4 and Xbox One - has been a matter of controversy for developer CD Projekt Red. The game suffers from severe performance issues on PS4 and Xbox One, with Digital Foundry calling it “unacceptable.” CDPR has since apologised to players stuck on these machines, promising several patches from now until February that will bring the game up to the standard seen on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X....

CD Projekt Red’s recently-released Cyberpunk 2077 has seen a 79% decline in players on Steam since its launch. The figures, collated by Githyp, reveal that while the game boasted one million concurrent users when it first came to the PC platform in December, the RPG is now barely managing to hit 225,000 players at a time. This drop has occurred three times faster than the studio’s previous game, 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which saw a 79% decline in players within three months....

From Software has announced its Dark Souls series has sold over 27 million copies to date. Reports of issues with the game are being posted on Reddit, Steam,and Resetera. Most of the issues are reports of visual stuttering and inconsistent frame rates. It also seems that those using KBM have run into mouse stuttering issues, especially during the more busy parts of the game. Some players have even reported the menu screens freezing, and some are having issues loading the game. It looks like Arkane and Bethesda are on the case though....

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, the platform holder detailed this new-and-improved system, which features a greater variety of customisation options than the PlayStation 3 original. Apparently, there are up to 16m different characters that can be created using the new system. Of course, your avatar will likely be wearing a helmet to protect them from being brained by any number of foul creatures in the famously-difficult title, but it’s nice to be able to create a unique character....

Bugs and errors do happen from time to time, but what makes this situation special is the errors seem to be a temporary fix implemented by Bungie themselves. Courtesy of Forbes, the error has been purposefully implemented to tackle an exploit that some players have been using to generate Orbs of Power that provide super energy when picked up. If used in PvP, this exploit allows players to generate a huge number of these orbs that provide a massive advantage....

Destruction AllStars has been generating a lot of discussion among PS5 owners. Making the car combat game free as part of PlayStation Plus really did help expose it to a wider audience, as much as you could have with something as rare as PS5 consoles. Over the last few days, a number of smaller issues have been coming up more and more. But perhaps the most prominent is how the game handles voice chat....

Blizzard shared a Diablo 4 development update that looks at a few design elements currently being worked on, and others that have evolved based on Blizzcon 2019 demo feedback. In the post, Blizzard confirmed that PC players will be able to rebind left-click, giving them the ability to have separate buttons for movement and attack. This is something earlier Diablo games didn’t offer, but it’s becoming a feature demanded by high-level players nowadays....

Digimon Survive, the tactical RPG set in the Digimon universe, has now been formally pushed back into 2021. After rumors surrounding the delay began circulating last week, Bandai Namco has now confirmed the day via an announcement on Twitter on Thursday. Producer Habu Kazumasa confirmed that the game was being pushed back. “We had originally planned to launch Digimon Survive in 2020 but current world events have shifted our development timing and we have made the difficult decision to push Digimon Survive’s launch to 2021,” he wrote....

Neill Blomkamp, the South African director behind sci-fi films District 9, Chappie, and Elysium, has joined indie studio Gunzilla Games. Blomkamp assumes the role of chief visionary officer, and will be helping the team with its first project: a multiplayer shooter. The game itself has not been revealed, but Blomkamp’s involvement was announced today. The project will be Gunzilla’s first game, and the studio has three teams in Los Angeles, Frankfurt, and Kyiv, made up of former EA, Ubisoft, and Crytek developers....
