Collector’s Editions of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, and Watch Dogs: Legion will not include a physical copy of the game on Xbox. According to an update on the Ubisoft Support Page for the UK, those who purchase these editions will instead receive a digital key to redeem, instead of a physical disc. Collector’s Editions for PlayStation will still receive physical game discs. A reason for the lack of a physical edition of the games was not provided....

Twitch Prime members can download five free games starting Monday, June 1 and there’ll be plenty of free loot available for Prime users during the month. These five are Observer, Forsaken Remastered, Steel Rats, The Flame in the Flood, and retro FPS Project Warlock. And don’t forget that right now, you can download seven SNK games for nada off the service and more will be added over the summer. New drops are now available for Doom Eternal, Apex Legends, FIFA Ultimate Team, and more....

There’s little clue as to what these live service games could be, and we’ve got just under a year until Sony’s financial year ends in March 2023. This plays into Sony’s intentions to release a total of ten live service titles before 2026. The first thought that may come to mind is Destiny 2, since Sony acquired Bungie earlier this year. However, Jim Ryan struck this off possibility by saying that the sci-fi FPS didn’t count as either of the pair....

This news may not come as much of a surprise considering a couple of weeks ago, backend data found on Ubisoft Connect suggested as much. Per a statement sent to multiple outlets including Eurogamer, a Ubisoft spokesperson said the company is “constantly evaluating” how it brings games to players while “providing a consistent player ecosystem through Ubisoft Connect.” The spokesperson added the three games are “among the Ubisoft titles that will be releasing on Steam,” leading one to believe more are on the way....

The game, which collects remastered versions of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was first announced for PS5 and PC back in September, after months of rumours that Uncharted 4 would appear on Sony’s new-gen hardware running up to the reveal. You can check out the Steam page here, where you’ll see that the PC version of the game is in development at Iron Galaxy. Naughty Dog and Sony have previously mentioned that the PC version will release shortly after the PS5 version....

Unknown 9: Awakening was shown in a teaser trailer during gamescom Opening Night Live. The game represents the “tentpole of a much larger content ecosystem” that is being built around the Unknown 9 Storyworld. Set to release in 2021, the game is a third-person, narrative-driven, action-adventure game featuring a protagonist named Haroona, who has Fold abilities. Here’s the more: Raised on the streets of Kolkata, India and haunted by visions of her own death, Haroona struggles to understand her mysterious innate abilities to manipulate the unseen....

With the recent reveal that only the top 100 PS4 games will work on PS5 at launch, fans have been looking for some clarification from Microsoft about whether Xbox Series X has the same limitations. Microsoft’s message with Xbox Series X has always been one where backwards compatibility played a key role, but the platform holder never specified whether every Xbox One game would work on Xbox Series X, or a select few....

Viking Early Access title Valheim has hit 5 million sales. The title shifted this many copies within its first month on the market, with users having already spent 15,000 years playing the game. Lock up your, um, Koopas – Wario is making his triumphant return to relevance, and he’s doing it in style. WarioWare: Get It Together! is the latest compilation of the character’s microgame series that promises an all-ages experience for Nintendo when it launches on September 10. “Take on over 200 quick and quirky microgames — lightning-fast minigames filled with frantic fun — solo or with a friend!” says a Nintendo press release....

In fact, the Switch’s first WarioWare title is closer to its beloved predecessors than I ever expected. The concept remains simple: you’re presented with a suite of ultra-short mini-games (micro-games, if you will) that last a couple of seconds each. The game screams a command at you (for instance “plug!” or “hit it”) and your job is to perform that action quickly before the time expires. Win or lose, it’s then on to the next micro-game....

According to Ubisoft, Aiden Pearce from the first Watch Dogs game, will be a fully-playable character as part of Watch Dogs: Legion post-launch plans. Pearce will be featured in a new chapter dedicated to the main character of Watch Dogs. This chapter and the character will be made available in the Season Pass. Check out the teaser below. The ESRB listing for Watch Dogs Complete Edition has been updated to include PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions. The Complete Edition is already available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Ubisoft has not officially announced the game is coming to next-gen, but ESRB listings are generally spot-on (thanks, GamesRadar). This will be a great way for new players to dig into the series and become acquainted with the game’s protagonist, Aiden Pearce, who is also playable in Watch Dogs Legion....

You can find out what Devolver Digital has in store for you today during the Devolver Direct presentation. Expect the presentation, as usual, to be a strange mix of off-the-wall humor alongside game reveals and special guests. The pre-recorded presentation will kick off on Steam and Twitch at 12pm PT, 3pm ET, 8pm BST, 9pm CEST. During the presentation, we will see the first gameplay for Shadow Warrior 3. Crossfire X, the Xbox-exclusive shooter, was always intended for release this year. It never really had a solid date, of course, so you may not be surprised to learn that it has been pushed back to 2021.
