Like in a lot of metroidvania-style games, the guidance you get in Carrion ranges from mysterious to downright esoteric; there’s no shame in being completely stuck in some cases. With no hand-holding to speak of, it can be tough to infer what all of the mechanics mean from context. While it can also be difficult to work out what you need to do to pass certain obstacles - like laser puzzles - or open particular points of interest like electrical boxes....

First outed by the Australian classification board and pretty much confirmed by Korea’s ratings board, the collection is made up of three classic Gameboy Advance titles and one SNES title. These games areCircle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, Aria of Sorrow, and Dracula X, respectively. All four games are enhanced with newly added features such as rewind, save/load and replay, and include a handy encyclopedia, a music player with all soundtracks, and you can even change the ROM Region to play all games in different versions....

With the Wild Arena event ended, Pokemon Sword and Shield players have something else to look forward to starting today with new Max Raid Battles. This month’s battles will be live through April 27 and feature version-specific Pokemon. Participating in these battles gives you a chance at catching Gigantamax variants of Charizard, Copperajah, Duraludon, and Garbodor. Because the battles are version-specific, Gigantamax Charizard and Garbodor can only be captured in Sword, while Copperajah and Duraludon can be caught in Shield....

It’s short, and doesn’t feature much in the vein of gameplay or graphic displays. However, it does mention that Godfall is set to launch for PS5 and PC this holiday, which indicates that next-gen development at Sony is still on track, despite potential delays due to the coronavirus....

The companies teased the new Super Mario LEGO set earlier this week, and have now revealed the set. As you can see, this isn’t a traditional LEGO brick-based set, but a new product line that features an interactive LEGO Mario figure who collects coins in real-life game levels created with LEGO bricks. The video hints at what you can expect when LEGO Super Mario sets are released later this year....

“Escaping from poverty to become a witcher, Vesemir slays monsters for coin and glory, but when a new menace rises, he must face the demons of his past,” says a brief blurb for the trailer. As you can probably determine from that short explanation, the film follows the story of Vesemir and gives you some context and insight into his whole narrative arc – which will be handy for you to learn ahead of The Witcher Season Two....

Linked above is the tweet containing multiple screenshots of this early project, all of which features that awesome mix of minimalism and modernism with clean primary colours pasted all over a sea of bright white urban sprawl. Everything in the images above is self-made and immediately fits the Mirror’s Edge aesthetic. According to the creator, they’d like to have something playable in this loving recreation of the Mirror’s Edge style, although with no coding experience a dedicated parkour movement system may be outside of their ability for now....

CI Games has announced Hexworks, a brand new game development studio based in Barcelona and Bucharest, which are working Lords of the Fallen 2. “It’s been a long time since we started talking about Lords of the Fallen 2 and trying different ideas," said CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski. “I am very excited for us to be able to announce the new studio that has been already at work for the last half of the year and made significant progress....

It’s unsubtly based on the German holiday Octoberfest, and features a variety of events and tasks for players to complete if they so wish. It also has a special boss fight — Corren Direbrew — in the Blackrock Depths, which in turn can provide some truly illustrious loot....

Alongside making the announcement of Crysis Remastered, and the information which leaked official, the studio also released a teaser trailer for the shooter. It’s below alongside the original story. Though Crytek has yet to make any official announcements, the remaster was just leaked by the cookie policy page on the official site, of all places....

The Crysis Remastered video you will see shows footage of the original in comparison to the remastered version, displaying in 8K. Crysis Remastered takes advantage of current generation hardware and technology advances to include a range of visual features such as ray tracing, global illumination (SVOGI), rippling caustics, up to 8K textures, including an 8K Nanosuit, enhanced particle and explosion effects, and more. Earlier this month, Crytek revealed the minimum and recommended PC specs, and they are rather reasonable....

One of Cyberpunk 2077’s biggest selling points is the freedom it affords players in how and when they approach the different scenarios. This also extends to how conversations play out, which affects their outcome and can even alter the circumstances for missions that follow. But because we only saw snippets of gameplay, players never really saw those different approaches demonstrated. For a little while now, there’s been consistent chatter about an updated, enhanced version of Death Stranding in the pipeline for both the PS5 and PS4 – and now a leaker has hinted that it may be closer than we previously thought. ResetEra user Navtra mentioned the project back at the start of the year, and considering the user has a pretty solid history when it comes to Sony leaks, a lot of people took the claim seriously....

Artists were inspired by the long, rich history of sci-fi imagery in each of their creations, and every one of them looks wonderfully distinct from one other. “As a digital illustrator with a love for science fiction and alternative posters, working on a Chorus piece was immediately interesting, and digging into its background revealed a treasure trove of inspiration points I fed directly into my work,” said LazareGvimradze, one of the artists commissioned to create a piece for this initiative....

The Crimson Days event runs from February 11 - 18 and Lord Shaxx has a new quest and rewards for you. Much like last year, you’ll be gathering Confectionary Hearts by taking part in Crimson Doubles matches, which you can trade for special Ghost shells, three new sparrows and The Vow Masterworked bow. To get started, players must have escaped the Cosmodrome, unlocked the Tower and reached 790 Power. If you’re well beyond that point, then you’re good to go....
