Memories of this golden age of spinning shots and mouse-trap-esque grenade routes across the many maps present in the 7th generation title have recently reemerged thanks to a singular tweet from Faze Blaze shining the spotlight on a particular remarkable grenade launcher kill. This video, tragically uncredited, struck a chord with the community, reining in over 114K likes at the time of writing. Replies to this viral sensation are filled with other examples of exemplary trickshots and stylish grenade bounces, but none compared to the original clip which features multiple bounces off map terrain and player-placed cameras in key locations....

The video from PlayStation Underground features a 16-minute look at gameplay differences between Resident Evil 3 Remake and the original release. Considering it’s been around 11 years since the original was released, you can’t really compare the graphics, as they are like night and day. But you can compare the gameplay, which is the focus of the video. The game is out April 3 and some new information on the game came to light today....

The Season 4 Reloaded update for Black Ops Cold War stealthily added DualSense support on PC today, though the feature wasn’t included in the patch notes, apparently. With the controller, the game now also supports haptics, but, should you not be interested in trigger haptics, you can turn them off in the game’s setting under the “Controller” tab (thanks, reddit [1] [2]). Today’s update also includes the 6v6 map Rush, new weapons, new multiplayer modes, new league play rewards, prestige ship content, another operator, and more....

Xbox Game Pass is typically throwing out stellar offerings left, right, and centre. We’re guaranteed at least one or two solid additions to the subscription each month, and November is no different, aside from the fact we get more than just two good games. Last week, we saw Tom Orry burn his lunch as he let Vampire Survivors sink its claws into him, and I can imagine he’s very much not alone in that sentiment....

Actor Tom Holland has confirmed that production on the Uncharted movie has officially kicked off. Holland, who plays Nathan Drake in the movie, shared a picture on his Instagram of his folding chair on the set. Today is the first day of production, but filming hasn’t actually started yet. This is, however, already the farthest any Uncharted movie has gotten. Recent reports suggested that Antonio Banderas will be joining Holland, and Mark Wahlberg (Sully), but Sony has yet to officially reveal the cast or even the title of the movie....

Torchlight 3 will be released on that date for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It will arrive for Switch later this year. In addition, all versions of the game will include an exclusive Glittersprite fairy pet for each platform. The difference is the color. The game takes place a century after the events of Torchlight 2, where peace has been interrupted by a threat of invasion by the Netherim and its allies....

The trailer has also announced that a beta is now playable for those who want to jump in a little early. This can be downloaded on Steam, the Microsoft store, and Xbox consoles, and lasts until June 20 at 10am PT / 6PM BST. Those who take part in the beta are set to unlock a series of exclusive items in the final game once that finally releases. This includes a beta avatar, wheels, and spoilers so you’ll be able to show off your early adoption of Turbo Golf to others in the game’s future....

Ubisoft announced the Ubisoft Forward presentation will take place as part of E3 2021 on Saturday, June 12. You will be able to tune in at 12pm PT /3pm ET/8pm UK/9pm CEST. The company didn’t state what to expect from the show, only to “stay tuned,” but it’s possible we will hear more on the third expansion for Assassins’ Creed Vahalla, The Siege of Paris. It’s quite possible we will also receive updates on Far Cry 6, although a Microsoft Store leak suggests it will be released in May....

Ubisoft, and the industry at large, has had a hell of a week. The French publisher specifically has been dealing with serious allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct against a number of its leads. After issuing a fairly standard public statement, Ubisoft reportedly moved to suspend two of its executives. According to a new Gamasutra report, the company is also forming a council to help it better deal with these problems appropriately....

According to a public notice from the CMA, it is concerned that should Microsoft purchase Activision Blizzard, it would harm rivals by refusing access to the company’s games, such as Overwatch or Call of Duty, or providing access on bad terms. The CMA said it received evidence about the “potential impact” of combining Activision Blizzard with Microsoft’s broader ecosystem. It feels the latter could “leverage Activision Blizzard’s games” with its strength across console, cloud, and PC operating systems to “damage competition in the nascent market” for cloud gaming services....

If this sounds familiar it’s because PlayStation Plus games for April, Uncharted 4 and Dirt Rally 2.0, were outed last week by accident. So while the news is no surprise, it’s still nice to have confirmation. You still have time to download PS Plus games for March. These are Shadow of the Colossus and Sonic Forces.

Untitled Goose Game was up against Death Stranding, Control, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Outer Wilds for Game of the Year. House House’s title also won Game of the Year at the 23rd annual DICE Awards. Remedy’s Control walked off with three awards, while Baba is You and Disco Elysium won two each. The 20th annual Game Developers Choice Awards (GDCA) ceremony was set to take place yesterday but was instead streamed due to GDC 2020 being postponed....

After a leak in early June showed off an early look at the upcoming Halo TV series ahead of time, Variety reports that Steven Kane – showrunner on the Paramount-produced series – will not be returning to the show for its second season. The show has largely been filmed in Budapest (following a lot of other TV production during the Covid-19 pandemic) and now, after two years on the project, Kane wants to return to the US for “personal reasons”....

Players have taken to social media to express their concerns about the Valorant anti-cheat system disabling other apps on their computer. One Twitter user posted a screenshot of Vanguard blocking another app from loading on their PC, which you can see below. The same thread contains information about the pop-up that prompts players to reconsider whether or not they want to disable Vanguard, even though doing so is the only way of reaccessing the apps it is restricting....

Lohner’s Emporium of Wonders is the new in-game shop where you can purchase cosmetics. Doing daily and weekly quests will reward you with the new in-game currency called Shillings, which can be spent on said cosmetics....
