Among Us is coming to Xbox next year, the platform holder announced in a post over on the Xbox blog. If you are an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, you can access Among Us on PC right now – although console players are going to have to wait until the game launches in 2021. Following the announcement via the Xbox channels, Innersloth made its own announcement, too. We don’t have any idea specifically when Among Us is going to arrive on Xbox consoles; the studio suggests simply that the game will arrive “on Xbox consoles in 2021”....

Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ next event is Stamp Rally, which Nintendo unveiled alongside other events last month. We’ve already gone through May Day and Nature Day, of course. Stamp Rally, which begins today and remains available until May 31, is an event whereby players can collect stamps from the different museum exhibits. Season 4 of Apex Legends is kicking off February 4 with a new Legend, a new weapon, and several gameplay tweaks. The veteran gaming company today announced a partnership with strategy group GSD Group to build Atari Hotels - gaming hotels that will include VR and AR experiences, with select locations including gaming venues and spaces for esports events. The official Atari Hotel website describes the project as “a one-of-a-kind video game-themed destination. Atari Hotels level up hotel entertainment with fully immersive experiences for every age and gaming ability.” “When creating this brand-new hotel concept, we knew that Atari would be the perfect way to give guests the ’nostalgic and retro meets modern’ look and feel we were going for,” said the spectacularly named GSD Group partner Napoleon Smith III, perhaps best known for his role as executive producer of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film franchise reboot....

Games giant Bethesda is teasing something The Elder Scrolls-related. In a BioWare blog post, McKay was confirmed to be the new general manager – or GM – of the veteran studio. He joined BioWare in January 2020 and was appointed interim GM following the departure of former general manager, Casey Hudson, last December. The Broken Hearts event is live in Borderlands 3, and you can earn two legendary weapons for playing: the Wedding Invitation and Terminal Polyaimourous. During the event, enemies will have hearts hanging around them. Once you have destroyed 50, you will unlock the Terminal Polyaimourous SMG. It features the elements Shock and Fire. It has 389 damage, 81% accuracy, 59% handling, 2.9-second reload speed, 9.15 seconds on fire rate, and a mag that holds 44....
A report from GamesIndustry.biz suggested that the game’s sales were down 40% year-on-year, and even anecdotally, there’s less coverage and chatter about Vanguard than any CoD game for the past 10 years. Despite all that, a new annual report from Activision has stated that the reason for Vanguard’s lower-than-expected sales was down to a lack of innovation in the game… and the World War 2 setting, which didn’t land for players more used to modern warfare aesthetics....
Call of Duty was one of the big highlights on last night’s earnings call for Activision’s first quarter of FY2021. As well as being very impressed with series revenue over the quarter, Activision executives also talked a little bit about this year’s premium game. Activision confirmed that, as leaked earlier in the year, this year’s Call of Duty will be lead by Sledgehammer Games, whose most recent full release has been 2021’s Call of Duty: WW2....
