Per a new post over on the Xbox blog, Microsoft noted that Clarity Boost uses “a set of client-side scaling improvements” that use a little more processing power on your end via the Edge browser to improve overall image quality. If you’re eager to give this new feature a trial yourself, here’s what you need to do: If this works, it could offset some long-held complaints about cloud gaming (that is, stream quality is variable at best) and we could even end up seeing other companies like Google or Nvidia adopt the tech – or try to – for their own game streaming services....

This feature was previously available only on Xbox Series X/S controllers. As demonstrated by James Shield, senior product planner at Xbox, the ability to switch devices easier is coming via an update to Xbox One controllers with Bluetooth, Elite Series 2, and the Adaptive Controller. Double tapping the button will make it much easier to switch between devices such as console, PC, and mobile. As it stands now, for example, you can switch between your PC and Xbox by holding down the connect button while on PC and then double tap it to switch back to Xbox....

Back in March, the company said it would honor Activision Blizzard employees’ right to choose whether to be represented by a labor organization. Yesterday during a meeting, as reported by Kotaku, Phil Spencer said once the merger with Activision Blizzard is completed, the company would recognize Raven’s unionization. “Once the deal closes, we would absolutely support employees’ organization that’s in place,” Spencer said during the meeting. “We think it is a right of employees and something that can be a part of a relationship between a company and people who work at the company....

As a part of the Tokyo Game Show, which runs from September 15 to September 19, Xbox will have its own livestream. Yakuza: Like A Dragon will be coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, and PS4. According to a press release received by VG247 via email, it will be available on Xbox Series X day one, meaning that Microsoft’s next-gen console will either be launching the same day or several days prior to it. Rebellion has released a new trailer showcasing some of the content coming to Zombie Army 4: Dead War post-launch in Season One. As you will see, the trailer teases the new mini-campaign, Hell Cult, which includes new missions for one-four players. Season One will also come with additional character packs, weapon bundles, weapon skins, and character outfit bundles. As part of its post-release plans, the developer will also release new maps for Horde Mode free to all players....
