Thanks to a new patch, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players can now level up weapons and unlock more attachments faster than the previous standard rate. This has been applied to both multiplayer and Zombies. In addition, an issue had been addressed in Zombies that was causing lower-than-targeted Weapon XP earn rates in solo matches and in later rounds. Alongside the aforementioned, the studio has also addressed a Zombies issue where the Napalm Burst Ammo Mod wasn’t consistently awarding Weapon XP when equipped....

The biggest fix in this week’s 1.05 update affects the combat shield, which previously did not protect players’ backs when it was stowed. This has now been fixed, so you won’t get shot in the back if the shield is covering it. A number of fixes also affect unlock and challenge problems, though not the dreaded reticle-related unlock tracking. For one, weapon challenge unlock requirement should now display accurate values....

Following a one-week delay, Season 4 has now officially kicked off in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare. Overnight, an early cut of a work-in-progression live action spot for the new Call of Duty: Warzone map leaked online. The brief footage had actors pulling off Warzone shenanigans on green screens, except with most of the visual and sound effects missing. The footage, which Activision quickly took down, ended with a brief flyover of the new map. The most surprising reveal is that Warzone’s next BR map won’t be a collage of Black Ops Cold War’s Fireteam maps as some believed, and is instead going to take us back in time to a 1980’s themed Verdansk....

Cyberpunk 2077 has proven to be a source of inspiration for many in cosplay, writing and other forms of creative work. Some, however, have the means to create live-action films based on the game’s world. Vi-Dan Tran, a stunt coordinator and director whose credits include 6 Underground, Into the Badlands, and Marvel’s upcoming Shang-Chi, put together a short teaser for a project he’s been working on called Phoenix Program. Phoenix Program is a fan film set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, and borrows many familiar characters and locations from the game....

As part of the Epic Games Store Spring Showcase, Torn Banner studios announced the release date for Chivalry 2, the first-person melee multiplayer action game. Chivalry 2 will be out June 8 on PC (EGS), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game’s closed beta will take place March 26-29, and guaranteed access is available to anyone who pre-orders the game. The beta will support cross-play on PC and consoles....

While it sounds like we’re going to be waiting until Season 3 for the next main Easter Egg, there’s at least one small surprise to be found in Season 2’s Outbreak mode. The Dragon Relic is the first Easter Egg to come to light in Season 2. Activating it leads to a short challenge mode with a nice little reward at the end, so it’s worth seeking out. It’s likely that the Dragon Relic isn’t the only Easter Egg to be found in Outbreak, so we’ll keep you updated if we find any more....

Over on Nexus, modder DJ_Kovrik has created an Edgerunners-inspired addition that adds a Humanity Cost system for cyberware implants and low Humanity side-effects including cyberpsychosis (thanks, Games Radar). Wannabe Edgerunner - A Simple Cyberpsychosis Mod basically adds Humanity as a stat. This stat depends on installed cyberware, Berserk/Sandevistan usages, and committed kills. With each implant, your Humanity will permanently decrease while installed. On the other hand, cyberware usage and enemy kills will decrease Humanity temporarily, so you can restore it after getting the “Rested” effect....

On Friday, we learned a number of new details about Cyberpunk 2077. In a developer stream, CD Projekt Red shared a fresh look at the game’s various gangs, and Night City itself. The developer also, finally revealed the game’s PC requirements, but it only offered two sets of hardware components, minimum and recommended, without indicating what type of resolution or framerate they each target. This was a particularly puzzling omission considering the fact Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the biggest upcoming games with ray tracing support, and many were rightly curious what sort of specs can deliver the visual quality seen in those trailers....
