Final Fantasy 14 update 5.3 Reflections in Crystal is scheduled to release on August 11. In it, you can expect the streamlining of the main questline of the original game, A Realm Reborn. Plus, new players can enjoy the free trial experience which will include all content from A Realm Reborn and the Heavensward expansion—including the entire Patch 3.x series—up to level 60. Additionally, all existing and future A Realm Reborn players will also have access to the complete Heavensward expansion and all the benefits it includes....

Speaking in an interview on the official Square Enix website, Final Fantasy 7 co-director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed the remake will feature a number of new new elements not seen in the original - including an entirely new floor in the game’ Shinra Building. “I won’t reveal exactly what that entails, because I want people to enjoy it when they actually play the game,” says Hamaguchi, “but I will say that [Final Fantasy 7 Remake] has added a new upper floor to the Shinra Building to present a climax that was not in the original....

Toyama, the Japanese creator who is known for working on Silent Hill, Siren, and the Gravity Rush series of games, has revealed a few more bytes of info about about the newly-minted studio will be working on in the coming years. Toyama gives us a bit of insight into his gaming influence and the fact he managed to make a career in the industry is a surprise, even to him....

If you head over to the pier in Sweaty Sands, you’ll find a dancefloor and a big TV camera. For this challenge, you’ll need to dance in front of the camera on the dancefloor for at least 10 seconds. This area is likely to get pretty busy so try to land their first or grab a few weapons before you head out. Make sure you’ve equipped your favourite dancing emote before you board the Battle Bus, too....

On today’s Forza Monthly livestream, Playground announced that Forza Horizon 4 will finally be making its way to Steam on March 9. Forza Horizon 4, which continues to receive regular updates to this day, somehow never made it onto Valve’s platform, even when several other Microsoft-published games were made available there, in many cases day-and-date with Xbox. The Steam version, just like all the other Xbox exclusives, supports cross-play with Windows and Xbox....

News of this was posted on the official website via an updated roadmap which is posted below. The first batch of free DLC was released for the game with Patch 1.3 in August. A few months ago, it was revealed that one of the primary reasons Google Stadia has such a sparse library has to do with the fact that Google isn’t offering devs enough money. As a result, Stadia hasn’t necessarily had the best run so far. In fact, Google actually reduced the Stadia Premiere Edition to $100 last month - although they also took away the Pro Trial. However, Google announced 20 new games for Stadia during today’s Stadia Connect event....

Google might soon add the ability for Stadia users to send direct messages and have conversations. According to 9to5Google, the latest update to the Stadia app features references to chat, direct messages, and conversations. At present, the only way to communicate is by using a game’s built-in voice chat or through Stadia’s voice system. With messaging, you will essentially be able to send a text message to others using the app without the need for another service....

Called Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, it will be released later this on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC. The Definitive Edition will feature “across-the-board upgrades” including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles. Yet, the games will still maintain “the classic look and feel” of the originals. Rockstar said it will share more on the titles in the coming weeks....

I’ve always worried that this mid-tier of racing games will one day vanish, and Grid Legends certainly isn’t helping me let go of that notion. Grid Legends is Codemasters’ latest attempt to try and find a place for this style of game in a world where Forza Horizon is dragging the genre into the mainstream.
