This particular update, which focuses on Captaincy, has been long-awaited, much anticipated, and might just see me return to the game. After all, who doesn’t want to be the Captain of their own boat? The Captaincy update will introduce features to Sea of Thieves that players have been requesting since the game was released, so it’s a pretty big deal for many keen pirates. You’ll be able to hop aboard your ship and get customising when the update goes live at 2am PT / 5am ET / 10am BST on August 4, 2022....

Hip-hop artist Travis Scott apparently walked away from his live-event performance in Fortnite earlier this year with a huge profit. According to a source speaking to Forbes – via GamesIndustry.biz – Scott made around $20 million from the performance, including merchandise. This is in stark contrast to how much the singer made at physical performances. Scott’s Astroworld tour maxed out at $1.7 million in a single night. The entire tour, which spanned 9 months, made $53....

In Wizardry class, students will be able to brew potions, divine the future using a crystal ball, or end up getting a pumpkin for a head - likely due to some form of spell mishap. You will need to make sure your students study properly and hone their skills in the Spellroom to compete in magical duels. The better your students do, the stronger their magic becomes, and apparently, they will need it due to an ancient curse and a nefarious enemy roaming around the halls....

Space Marine 2 is a sequel to Sega, and Relic’s cult classic third-person action shooter. Though neither of the two return for the sequel, this is a continuation of that story. Captain Titus of the Ultramarines is back, with Tyranids being the main threat this time around. Unfortunately, Mark Strong does not reprise his role. Instead, Titus will be played by Viking’s Clive Standen. Not much about the story of Space Marine 2 is known at this point, and the trailer was about as ostentatious as you’d expect from a Warhammer 40,000 game about the Adeptus Astartes....

Cheaters are nothing new to Warzone. Raven Software has been battling with hackers and cheaters pretty much since the game went live. Back in February, we heard the developer had kicked off over 300,000 accounts for cheating, and then in April we heard the studio lament hackers were “ruining some of the [studio’s] best work”. Before making your way to Aspen at Level 17, I’d recommend having one team member with at least Perception or Kiss Ass 8, Lockpicking 8, Mechanics 8, and Nerd Stuff 8. It’s also been a little over two months since Evil Was was given a September release date, so we’re hoping this is the last of its delays, because late November/early December release dates have a tendency to turn into Q1 of the following year. Microsoft has detailed what the March firmware update - available March 16 - is going to bring, particularly for owners of Xbox Series X and Series S consoles.
