Many assault rifles have been hit with quite severe nerfs to torso and headshot multipliers, meaning it’s going to take players longer to kill with those weapons on average. LMGs, meanwhile, are a more mixed bag; some will see headshot damage multipliers increased whereas others will see similar nerfs to the assault rifles....

Towards the end of last year, Escape from Tarkov - an extremely punishing, realistic survival shooter - blew up on Twitch. Tarkov is not a new game; it’s been publicly playable since late 2016. Twitch Drops, a scheme through which viewers have a chance at earning in-game items by watching participating streamers, had just been enabled for Tarkov for the first time....

Taking place on the planet ZDR, Samus will explore enemy-filled labyrinths in the underbelly of the planet, which features distinct areas such as caves, magma chambers, ancient forests, and underwater environments. Enemies in the game are dangerous robots called E.M.M.I.and they will track down and attempt to capture Samus. These research robots have bodies covered with tough armor that regular attacks cannot penetrate. Luckily, Samus has her powerful Arm Cannon, missiles, her jumping abilities, a new slide move, and a Melee Counter, which she can use to deal with said enemies....

Retro Studios is best known for the Metroid Prime series these days, but did you know that at one point in time it was working on a Zelda game that would have put Sheik in the leading role? Did You Know Gaming knows, and it has recently put out a video spoke with one of the programmers that worked on the project. It can potentially take ages for Moonbane to appear, and the battle serves mostly as a fun way to cap off an intense match, since the rewards earned for each time you slay Moonbane have no effect on the match. Moonbane slaying Moonbane appears randomly in the lobby of trios matches, and not frequently. As you’d expect from a rare and powerful creature, Moonbane’s appearance rate is low, but if you do see it in the lobby, then it’s guaranteed to show up at the end of the match....

In response to a Kotaku report that talks about Naughty Dog’s unsustainable crunch culture, and how the studio is pushing extra hard for The Last of Us: Part 2, ex-Naughty Dog and veteran animator, Jonathan Cooper, gave a little bit of an insight into his time at the studio. Cooper, who was part of the “story animator” team at the studio, said his work week averaged 46 hours, which would sometimes reach close to 55 hours, but no more than that....

While the game itself is not a narrative adventure, there is some “narrative” in it to tell a story in specific circumstances, and referred to as an “investigation.” One of these investigations focuses on a brother and sister, both vying for the throne of a small kingdom. The brother, in this case, has taken off with the crown and hidden it someplace. Your quest is to find the crown, and upon reaching the location, you’ll do some plundering before heading to another location....
