The jump was attributed to the HBO series based on the title, available to watch in the UK via Sky Atlantic. Revealed today but rumored for many months, the new Lego recreation of one of gaming’s earliest large-scale success stories will hit stores on August 1st to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Atari. The set is the latest in Lego’s sets that are aimed at adults and collectors, joining building kits like the Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block, Lego Sonic, a Horizon Zero Dawn Tallneck, a ginormous brick-built Bowser figure, and the previously-mentioned Lego NES....
After selling out in a matter of days from other retailers, the Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch bundle is now available to pre-order from Walmart. I expect copies of this will fly pretty quickly as well, so be sure to snap one up if you were disappointed to miss out on the earlier release. Although the update seems to be little more than a patch containing relatively minor bug fixes, like speed adjustments to the circle in Warzone, you’ll need 15GB of free space to install it. This serves as a continuation of the growing trend surrounding the massive amounts of space required to simply access Modern Warfare....
The Pokemon Company, which works independently of Nintendo, announced in an official statement that it will be introducing a series of sanctions aimed at users who illegally modify Nintendo Switch save data in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Players caught using manipulated data will face bans from using Pokemon Sword and Shield’s online functionalities, and may also potentially be banned from using the Pokemon Home app, too. “We have confirmed that some users are playing Pokémon Sword Shield and Pokémon Home using illegally modified data,” the company notes on its Japanese website (thanks, Eurogamer)....

Yes, The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff Pack introduces a handful of new special characters, including the rakish Claude René Duplantier Guidry — or just Guidry for short — a very helpful ghost who just happens to be permanently stuck in the Flirty emotional state. The pack also marks the long-awaited return to the franchise of fan-favourite Bonehilda — a skeletal maid whose assets this time around are causing a few raised eyebrows, not to mention scratched heads as we try to work out how a lady with no skin, fat, or indeed bodily tissues of any kind can fill out a dress like that....

The official NYCC Twitter account announced earlier this week that the first teaser trailer for Nintendo and Illumination’s Super Mario Bros. would be shown off at the convention, October 6, 4pm EST. It also finally confirmed a release date of April 7, 2023, as it had previously only been confirmed for a Spring release, after having been delayed from the holiday season this year. Announced yesterday at WitcherCon, The Witcher 3 next-gen upgrade for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S will be released as a Complete Edition and comes with some new items inspired by The Witcher Netflix series. While complete information on the DLC will be provided at a later date, it seems one of the DLC will be gear inspired by what Henry Cavill wears on the Netflix show. Those who own the game on PS4 and Xbox One will be able to download the upgrade for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions at no cost....

Halo: Covenant Edition is a mod for Halo: Combat Evolved that reimagines the game from the perspective of the baddies. Although we’ve all grown to love the hulking stature of 7-foot-tall army man John Halo over the last 19 years, he is the physical embodiment of Bad Guy when you reverse what the game’s narrative wants you to think. Put it this way: The Covenant are in the wrong because that’s what Halo: Combat Evolved tells us, but what if a bunch of aliens made a Halo game for Covenant teenagers?...

Creative Assembly has been trying to make Total War games more inclusive for a while now, although an armada of pissbabies have consistently tried to shout through their computer screens to stop that from happening. Two years ago, when it was announced that you could recruit female generals in Total War: Rome 2, said pissbabies sat at their computers like this for months. I’ve heard rumours some of them are still sat there now, less than halfway through their 200,000 word YouTube comment on how there were no female generals in real Rome....
