During an episode of the Borderlands Show today, Gearbox discussed the level cap increase and the Borderlands 3 in-game event Revenge of the Cartels. Alongside the Love, Guns, and Tentacles DLC on March 26 comes another level cap increase. It will now be 57, up from 53. This will allow you to earn four additional skill points and equip two capstone abilities at once. Also this week you can participate in the ECHOcast Twitch Extension event....

The official Call of Duty Twitter account is teasing a “care package” that participants in the upcoming Battle of Verdansk event will recieve if they log in whilst the event is active. The rewards on offer include: “new weapon and knife blueprints, a bike skin, a timepiece, and more”. In order to claim the rewards, you simply need to “join the fight, defeat the target, get to the exfil.” Sounds simple enough… right?...

Since launch, Call of Duty: Warzone had a major, unresolved Easter egg involving the many bunker doors hiding all around the game’s map. Try as they might, players never found a way to access these bunkers, whether by solving the mystery or through sheer brute force. This will change with Season 4, however, according to Warzone co-developers Infinity Ward and Raven, who hint at major changes for the Verdansk map next season....

Infinity Ward has rolled out a playlist update in Call of Duty: Warzone earlier today. The update brought back Trios mode, which had been replaced with Quads with the launch of Season three. Quads remains in the game as an option, alongside Solos. The move is a response to negative feedback over the past few days, as Quads kind of screwed two and three-person teams. Trios is only available in battle royale, however, not Plunder....

As spotted by Polygon, Warzone has recently caused a bit of controversy over a skin that has potentially plagiarised the work of artist Sail Lin. Earlier this week (July 27), Raven Software shared the patch notes for season four of the battle royale which showed an upcoming skin of a Samoyed for operator Kim Tae Young. However, Lin took to Twitter to point out just how similar this upcoming skin looks to a piece of their work that they shared to ArtStation in 2019....

Chivalry 2 is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X it was announced today. It will also feature crossplay across platforms. The game is a multiplayer first-person slasher and a sequel to Chivalry Medieval Warfare. It was inspired by epic medieval movie battles and is in the works at Torn Banner Studios and Tripwire. Currently in closed alpha, it is also coming to PC and will be released first on the Epic Games Store....

Crytek has announced a release date for Crysis Remastered for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. You’ll be able to pick it up on September 18 digitally through the Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, and PlayStation Store for $29.99 or the regional equivalent. Co-developed with Saber Interactive, the remastered first-person shooter was initially set to be released on July 23 but was delayed in order to make some improvements. It was not delayed on Switch, however....

Bungie has announced with Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Ghosts will receive a system update giving them a bit of an overhaul. According to the studio, the update to Ghosts will “share some functionality” with how the armor was in Shadowkeep. Once Beyond Light is live, Ghost Shells will have energy levels and access to mods with various energy costs instead of “being pre-loaded with specific perks.” This will be applied to all Ghost outside of Generalist Shell....

A mission bug that the most recent Cyberpunk 2077 patch was supposed to fix was made worse when the update went live on various platforms earlier this week. Patch 1.1 introduced a suite of stability fixes, sure, but it also added a bug that prevented Takemura from talking, making it impossible to progress the story in the Down on the Streets mission. “Hotfix 1.11 is available on PC, consoles, and Stadia,” the developer said in a tweet earlier today....
