Though fans were expecting recent Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter Terry Bogard to follow his brother Andy Bogard’s announcement last week, SNK has thrown a curveball and instead announced Yuri Sakazaki. The newly revealed character is otherwise known as the ‘Wild Flying Swallow’ and as such you’ll see a lot of her moves hop off the ground in order to have more impact on the foes she’s facing down. She has pretty good utility with projectile attacks and rapid speed, and her plucky ‘something-to-prove’ personality fits well in the ever-growing King of Fighters roster. Take a look at her announcement video below. Yuri Sakazaki is the 12th character to join King of Fighters 15’s line-up, sitting alongside other series vets like Kyo, Shun’ei, Chizuru Kagura, Iori Yagami, Benimaru , Joe and Meitenkun. Both Yuri and Andy Bogard are not yet affiliated with an in-game team – but you can expect that to change as more character are revealed. SNK is making sure the upcoming fighter will support rollback netcode – rather than the delay-based netcode of previous titles – and has announced that the game will be launching in 2021. It’s still unclear what platforms the game is targeting, though, despite the game being revealed in August 2019.
